We are looking for an experienced Backend Web Developer with a strong grasp of server-side programming and a deep understanding of Django. The successful
candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Location: Jamaica (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Django.
• Design and implement robust and scalable back-end solutions.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Ensure the security and data protection of applications.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design cohesive, functional code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative development environment.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Backend Web Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
• Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
